Meet the Team

Matt Campbell, Founder
Matt's professional career began at the age of nineteen, as a Savannah Railroad Conductor. While working on the railroad across the southeast, Matt served as Legislative Representative, a role in which he advocated for safe work conditions, engaged in local and state politics, and promoted economic development. Next, he was elected statewide to advocate on behalf of Railroad Employees and Retirees under the Gold Dome, proudly serving for thirteen legislative sessions. In 2016, Matt was named a Rising Star by Progressive Railroading Magazine. After decades of successful collaboration with business owners, communities, and elected officials throughout the state on important economic and social initiatives, Matt found Georgia Matters LLC, an award-winning Government Relations Firm.
In addition, Matt serves as Vice President, Government Relations at B.I.G. Entertainment Network, a statewide organization that serves businesses and organizations with a clear presence and commitment to Georgia's film and entertainment industry.
Appointed in 2020 by Governor Brian Kemp to the Georgia Commission for Service and Volunteerism, Matt now serves as Board Chairman. He also sits on the Board of Directors for the Entertainment Tourism Alliance of Georgia (ETAG) and the Georgia Professional Lobbyists Association. As an active member of the National Speakers Association, Matt is a sought-after Keynote Speaker and Moderator. Matt also advocates for suicide prevention through the Michael C. Harte Foundation.
Matt is a graduate of Leadership Bryan, Leadership Southeast Georgia, and holds a bachelor’s degree from Kennesaw State University.

Jenee' Burke, Partner
Jenee’ is a seasoned public policy strategist and registered lobbyist with more than 15 years of experience navigating Georgia’s legislative, regulatory, and political landscape.
Prior to joining Georgia Matters, Jenee’ was Principal at J Burke Strategies, LLC, where she represented a wide range of clients—including biotech firms, startups, national trade associations, and global brands—on policy matters ranging from clean energy to insurance, healthcare, utilities, and tax incentives.
Jenee’ also served as Director of Government Relations & Public Affairs for a global biopharmaceutical company, where she led state-level legislative strategy across 11 southeastern states and oversaw government affairs for the organization’s U.S. headquarters in Georgia. During her tenure, she played a leading role in the passage of landmark legislation on epilepsy education, rare disease policy, and drug access reform.
She began her career in the Georgia House of Representatives, where she spent nearly a decade as a policy analyst and budget aide. In this role, she developed legislation, advised House leadership, and served as a subject matter expert on appropriations, economic development, utilities, small business, and energy policy. She also chaired the Clean Vehicles Legislative Subcommittee and helped steer regulatory reform efforts under then-Speaker David Ralston.
Jenee' is a graduate of Georgia Southern University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Political Science with honors and a minor in International Studies.
